Accessibility Statement

Last updated October 20, 2026

Staple Templates is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, captions or other assistive technologies. Accessibility is also part of the work we do for clients, and we hold our own site to the same standard.

1. Our Standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities.

Our website partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conforms” means that some content does not yet fully meet the standard. We review the site as it changes and fix issues as we find them.

2. What We Have Done

  • Semantic page structure with a logical heading order, landmarks and labelled navigation, so assistive technology can move through each page easily.
  • A “Skip to content” link and full keyboard access to menus, filters, buttons and forms, with a clearly visible focus outline.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images. Purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Visible, programmatically linked labels on every form field, with required fields clearly marked.
  • Text and interface colors chosen for readable contrast against our brand backgrounds.
  • Layouts that adapt to phones, tablets and desktops, and that keep working when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed.
  • Respect for your device’s “reduce motion” setting, which turns off animations such as the scrolling logo strip.

3. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Product images: many product photos and previews include text inside the image, such as pattern names and file specifications. The product name and price are always available as text, but some details shown in images may not be.
  • Purchasing: for now, checkout takes place on our previous store platform, which we do not fully control. A new, accessible checkout is being built.
  • Digital product files: downloadable templates and assets, such as pattern images, mockups and design files, are visual by nature and may not be usable with a screen reader.
  • Third-party content: links to other websites, website builders, social media and the separate apps we operate are governed by those providers’ own accessibility practices.

If any of these affects you, contact us and we will provide the information or help you need another way.

4. Getting Help

If you have trouble using any part of this website, we are happy to help. Email us at StapleTemplates@gmail.com and we can, for example, describe a product in detail, send information in a different format, take your consultation request by email, or help you complete a purchase.

5. Report a Barrier

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website. When you contact us, it helps to include:

  • The web address (URL) of the page
  • A description of the problem you encountered
  • The device, browser and any assistive technology you were using

We aim to respond within 5 business days and will let you know how and when we plan to address the issue.

6. How We Assess Accessibility

We assess this website by self-evaluation, using keyboard-only testing, browser accessibility tools and checks against WCAG success criteria during design and development. Accessibility is reviewed whenever new pages or features are added.
